We built the first Insure-a-Boat site about 5 years ago and this is version 2. This site is highly targeted to its prospect base and is very, very profitable for our client. It’s a very simple front end design that we’ve optimised to drive traffic through to an ecommerce engine.
The site paid for itself within the first 6 months of trading for our client. If you know what you are doing (and we do) and you’ve got a good niche product, then sites like this can be highly effective. Factoring Advisory Service : Website
This is one of our most recent sites and features a full Content Management System to allow the client full access to amend, add or delete any pages, text or images on the site. The site is already very successful and appears on page 1 of Google for its main keyword phrase “factoring advice” (try it for yourself and see!!) Our strategic marketing team got involved at the start of the project to help the client map out the marketing positioning of the business and the web development team then took over to manage the build and go-live procedures. We continue to be involved in the sites’ development working on content addition and further Search Engine Optimisation.

Technically this one is really cutting edge and as I write (July 2008) there are still no online competitors to this site due to the technical hurdles that need to be overcome. It’s still a unique site and our client is reaping the profits from this development.Behind this site sits an enormous database that includes every car and van available for sale in the the UK today (and for up to 4 years ago).
Quotes can be retrieved in less than 1 second on any variant of car, model, engine size etc.We built the site so that a casual user can get an immediate quote but if they want further quotes, they need to register. Thus we are continually building a large, accurate database of users that can then be included in regular email campaigns (that we also develop for the client). A lot of sales are ultimately gained by the use of the prospect data captured on the site.Once again, Search Engine Optimisation is vitally important for the site and it ranks on page 1 of Google for its main search term “contract hire quotes”.
