The main aim for the campaign was to provide content and social activity during a usual “down period”. Our client wanted to stand out from its competitors and the “sea” of usual sales posts, resulting in Ignition CBS creating the initial concept to use the Rubik’s Cube.
Premex Group wanted to promote its values externally by relating them to the challenge of a Rubik’s Cube, such as their ability to “solve complex problems”, and unify their customers, suppliers and experts with an inclusive and fun competition. A selection of online and offline designs were used for the campaign with Ignition CBS involved in the production of all graphic design and copywriting used across social media and emails.
The challenge to solve a Rubik’s Cube, promoted via bright graphics reminiscent of Rubik’s Cube’s familiar colour palette, was presented to Premex Group’s customers by email and on Twitter and LinkedIn to #SolveItFirst and be entered into a prize draw for 1 of 5 team outings by sharing a picture of their completed cube.
Across email and both Twitter and LinkedIn platforms, the campaign received 28,952 impressions and engagement from 1356 people and improved performance in comparison to other social media activity for the same period. It not only resulted in a positive connection with Premex Group’s industry, existing and potential clients, but the campaign also saw participation from the group’s multiple teams internally.
